I am a 21-year-old Content Creator with a passion for advertising and marketing, specifically digital marketing. I wish to pursue a career in the AMC field because it allows me to express my creative side as well as my analytic skills. Learning to understand the consumer mind and their psychological response to certain advertising tactics engages me more than any other subject matter and nothing is better than seeing the real time impact that your marketing does for a brand!
I am currently an Advertising and Marketing Communications Management #student. I live and attend school in my hometown of #Kingston, Ontario where I am pursuing my advanced diploma at St. Lawrence College (Kingston campus).
Currently, I work as a Social Media & Communications Assistant for my college’s Marketing Department, where it is my duty to manage St. Lawrence College's official social media accounts, create engaging content, keep students and our community up-to-date on all things SLC, schedule posts, engage with our followers and achieve marketing KPI goals. I have worked for St. Lawrence College as a student worker for a year, previously working as a Student Recruiter for the Recruitment & Admissions Department where I partook in promotional events, tours and prospective student #outreach.
Other professional experience I have in the AMC field has been working as an Intern for The City of Kingston in their Cultural Services Department where I was tasked with promoting and generating sales for upcoming shows at The Kingston Grand Theatre. While there I created multiple marketing plans for shows, developed a web-series (shot, wrote & edited), launched paid social media advertisements, developed engaging copywriting for posts, and created compelling graphics for digital and social. I have also worked as a Brand Ambassador for multiple brands and events including Brand Heroes for their 'Winter Joy' Campaign partnered with CAA and St. Lawrence College for their partnership with Kingston WritersFest.
I hope to find a job within the entertainment or tourism industry where I can display my digital marketing, social media coordinator, copywriting and design skills on a daily basis!
